Natural stone is truly one of the finest building materials to use on #landscaping projects. It has a beautiful natural color and texture, and a timeless elegance that no other material can match. Not to mention its durability. Of course all these exceptional virtues come at a price. However, natural stone is one of the more expensive building materials in the market. Also, its also very heavy, and is rather difficult to work with. On each design should be a natural split between hardscape materials of paving, walling and associated features, and the softscape of the planting material. The hardscape forms the bones of the composition. The paved areas, paths, steps, walls and dividers create a framework into which plant is placed.
